چکیده
Abstract Quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) observed in the power spectrum of black holes are unique observational probes to background spacetime since they can be directly related timescales associated with motion matter orbiting vicinity hole horizon. In this regard, high frequency QPOs (HFQPOs) particularly interesting as occur commensurable pairs, most common ratio being 3:2 twin peak QPOs. The theoretical models which aim explain these express frequencies terms epicyclic test particles a given spacetime. work, we study signatures Bardeen from spectrum. rotating, regular magnetic monopole charge. Such backgrounds theoretically potentially evade curvature singularity, otherwise unavoidable general relativistic holes. We perform χ 2 analysis by comparing available observations quasi-periodic sources relevant and note that Kerr relativity observationally more favored compared Our reveals very charges disfavored QPO observations.

Quasi-Periodic Brightness Oscillations from Accreting Neutron Stars and Black Holes
Observations with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer have revealed a number of characteristic frequencies of variation in the X-ray emission from accreting neutron stars and black holes. These frequencies are large enough that they must be affected by the strongly curved spacetime near these compact objects. As a result, study of them has the potential to probe strong gravity, and may also constra...
متن کاملA Model for High Frequency Quasi-periodic Oscillations from Accreting Black Holes
Observations from the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer have shown the existence of high frequency quasiperiodic oscillations (HFQPOs) in the X-ray flux from accreting black hole binary systems. In at least two systems, these HFQPOs come in pairs with a 2:3 frequency commensurability. We propose a simple “hot spot” model to explain the position and amplitude of the HFQPO peaks. Using the exact geodes...
متن کاملSpin of Stellar-Mass Black Holes Estimated by a Model of Quasi-Periodic Oscillations
We have proposed in previous papers that the high-frequency pair QPOs observed in black-hole binaries with frequency ratio 3:2 are inertial-acoustic oscillations (nearly horizontal oscillations with no node in the vertical direction) or g-mode oscillations, which are resonantly excited on warped relativistic disks. The resonance occurs through horizontal motions. In this model the dimensionless...
متن کاملQuasi-Periodic Oscillations in Numerical Simulation of Accretion Flows Around Black Holes
We present results of several numerical simulations of two dimensional axisymmetric accretion flows around black holes using the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). We consider both stellar black holes and as well as supermassive black holes. We assume bremsstrahlung to be the only source of cooling as it is simpler to implement in numerical simulations. We observe that due to both radial an...
متن کاملSpectral and Fourier analyses of X-ray quasi-periodic oscillations in accreting black holes
We study energy dependencies of quasi-periodic oscillations from a number of black hole X-ray binaries. The selected sources were observed by RXTE at time periods close to state transitions and showed QPO in the 1–10 Hz range. We have constructed QPO rootmean-square energy spectra, which provide information about underlying physical process leading to QPO generation. These spectra show an inter...
